Aging brings many joys, such as more family time and freedom in retirement, but it can also introduce challenging life transitions, such as the loss of loved ones and stress from age-related health issues.
To address these challenges, First Care Health Center offers the Senior Life Solutions Program, an intensive outpatient group therapy program tailored for individuals, typically aged 65 and older, who are dealing with depression or anxiety due to aging-related life changes.
It’s normal to feel down occasionally, but if these feelings persist for weeks or months, it may be time to seek help. If you or someone you know is experiencing these issues, this program might be right for you.
Services offered by First Care Health Center’s Senior Life Solutions Program include a confidential, comprehensive assessment, group and individual therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, and after-care planning, where we continue to engage and support our participants. Even though this is a group setting, each person is addressed individually based on their unique needs.
The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapists, a registered nurse, and other professionals dedicated to the mental health care of the older adults in our community. Anyone can make a referral to the program. This includes self, family members, physicians, or other healthcare professionals.
